About Mars
Mars Rocamora Jr. is the current President of the Filipino Community of Salinas Valley Inc. He is the third child of the late Mars Rocamora Sr. and Elena Rocamora. Coming from a family with a strong tradition of leadership, both of his parents served as presidents of several Filipino organizations.
After a successful 26-year career in the automotive trade, where he worked as a GM Master Technician, Shop Foreman, and Shop Steward for his union, Mars Jr. transitioned to a new career as an insurance agent. He has been operating his own business, Mars Rocamora Jr. Agency Inc., doing business as Farmers Insurance in Salinas, for 15 years.
Currently, Mars Jr. serves on the City of Salinas Planning Commission for District 6 in an appointed position. He was first appointed to this commission in 2019 by the late Mayor Joe Gunter and served for one year.
Additionally, he holds several executive board positions for local organizations, including the Salinas Cebu Sister City, the Asian Cultural Experience of Salinas, the Salinas Downtown Community Board, and he is a member of the Rotary of Salinas Valley Passport Club.
Mars Jr. is married to his lovely wife, Jocelyn Rocamora, and they have one daughter and two sons: Jenalee and her husband Joe Jemera, Raymond and his girlfriend Amanda, and their youngest son Kainoa. The family also has three grandchildren: Ailyn, Isaiah, and Aziel, with another grandchild on the way due in August.
As President of the Filipino Community of Salinas, Mars Jr.’s vision is to foster unity among all Filipino organizations, which he believes will promote growth for all. He also encourages younger generations to get involved with these organizations for a brighter future.
